Using some bolts and nuts the designer mounted up the fence.
Building a bandsaw resaw fence.
This is definitely the way to go when it comes to building a fence for your bandsaw or even for your drill press possibly another machine in the shop.
Put the resaw fence between the blade and the stock rip fence.
Set the bandsaw fence at the correct angle it sounds crazy but on most bandsaws you have to angle the stock to make a straight cut.
It s best to use the resaw fence together with the stock rip fence because every bandsaw has something called drift angle a tendency to cut right or left not straight ahead.
Finding this drift angle and setting the fence to match it is crucial to successful re sawing.
This is a pretty simple bandsaw fence design which cost the designer only about 100 to build.
The designer began by gluing pieces of plywood together to create the fence then ripped them at a 45 angle cutting both front and back rail guides to match.
