Too much moisture in the wood prevents the stain from penetrating properly.
The cleaner application should be done when the fence or deck is dry.
If you don t have access to a pump type garden sprayer dip a clean stiff bristled cleaning brush into the bleach.
Allow the fence to dry for at least 24 hours if you plan to sand paint or stain it.
After you clean your fence let the wood dry for 2 3 days before applying stain.
